After School VS the other girlband (you know who)

I honestly kinda stopped listening to kpop since they became all cutesy groups (and singer) and such. Yes I know - it's the culture over there and people (teenagers) like them because they're.. cute.
Which I find it fair - IMO it's better that way than liking girl band that offer sex appeal too much to the younger generation.
I may sound.. old - but wait til I finish writing this down.

Anyways back to the topic.
I was browsing soompi and found this thread about a new kpop group called "After School".

I knew that they were prolly using a school girl look to get more attention in kpop industry.
Hyori is prolly one of the singer out there that's using sex appeal to get more money (and audiences). Honestly though, she cant sing nor dance (come on, do you really think she can do it?)
Actually, IVY was too but she somehow didn't make it (scandal bla bla).
I'm just giving a good example since Hyori is very popular among.. well.. people that listen to kpop. or asian pop. whatever.
So yeah, I checked out their youtube video and the first thing that came in my mind was "Holy crap they're hot."
Not "OMG PCD wannabe. Slut."
Or "Good bod, shit song." >> well I didn't really like the song at first, but it's stuck in my head now. (you know, those feeling when you hear song like Poker Face which I think is shit but i just can't get it out of my head)

Seriously though, at first I thought they use too much sex appeal, but if you compare it with Hyori they're not actually that bad o_o since they can actually dance.

But I'm wrong. Yes it's prolly too much sex appeal going on there in Korea, or Asia in general (not Japan, though) but compare to the western society, it's not that bad.

So.. what am I trying to say?

most girlbands has more than 3 members, but honestly, how many of them that are actually pretty?
yes they're hot but I don't find them attractive (not in a lesbian way, but in industry way) because they're ugly.

No, I'm not biased because AS (After School) members are asians and I'm Asian too.

Let me put it this way,
I'd rather watch good looking (and good bod) girlband (and can actually dance) rather than alright (or even ugly) looking girlband (eventho they can dance or w/e).

Hmm, did I mention they don't show their horniness (if there's such a word) on TV?
I'm sick of looking at ugly looking girls doing pole dancing on MTV and tried to sing but in fact they couldn't.
They don't show their tits (okay I'm exaggerating it a little bit), but hey they show their legs alot and I don't think that's bad (since I always want to have those long and slender legs) - while the other girlband on TV nowadays show their cleavage too much.

Oh right, the dance.
I don't honestly find the dance erotic compare to the other girlband.
Well as far as I know they (haven't) used anything sexually explicit tool such as that pole thing or anything.

But hey, those are my personal opinion.

It's just that because the world becoming more and more "demanding" on the entertainment industry, the record company need to sell something too don't they?

Not two. ALL of them.

They don't wear that much make up.

So yeah,
those girls are just trying to sell records just like the other girlband do.
It's just they have different way to sell their records.
In my way anyway.
